My Story

Hello,

My name is Natacha and I am an international and local award- winning photographer.

My story started in my hometown, Benito Juárez in Argentina.
Throughout my childhood my family took many trips and had amazing adventures around Argentina and Chile, both extremely rugged and beautiful countries. Even from a young age I was fascinated by the similarities and the differences of landscapes and those that inhabited them. I began to observe the subtle influences culture, landscape and nature have on each other and I utilise this awareness now in my photography.

Many from my small town did not travel, so photography was an evolution born from the necessity of a deep desire to capture the amazing scenes and take them home to share the incredibly beauty with my friends and loved ones.

I began to freeze my moments in time as a tangible and visual keepsake of my travels and I used them as a door to trigger the memories found in the places I had visited. I took the mountains, the animals, the people, huge oceans and of course the people back with me to share with those that couldn’t be there.

My photographic evolution took a backseat while I went to University in La Plata to study Chemistry where I met my mentor, Gustavo Yaful who encouraged me to explore my photography skills and get myself back out there! So I followed my heart and my desire to travel further afield and I worked as a photographer in the amazingly beautiful, Costa Rica and I have since chased my camera around the world.

My work has taken me to the exotic Dominican Republic with its plethora of palms, the tangible vibe of the island that is Cuba, the colourful beaches of Mexico, the ancient stone walls of Northern England all the way south to the jaw dropping isolated beauty of New Zealand meandering my way back North through the vibrancy and of course the foods in South East Asia.

Portugal is my home base now where I won the Porto Municipality Photography Award for a competition called “About Porto”. I also won the photography award for the Gaia Municipality, “Tudo um Mundo”. I love the urban landscape of Porto and especially streets at night. I split my time working in Portugal, Croatia, Argentina and visiting Europe. I enjoy evolving as a photographer and push myself to deliver images that will open memories of travel or inspire travel.
